Individualized Coaching for Better Boundaries

Giving should feel like a choice, not an obligation

You’re the reliable one. The person everyone counts on. But saying yes too quickly has you stretched thin, overwhelmed, and putting yourself last.

I help caring, dependable people like you break the cycle of over-giving so they can set boundaries without guilt, protect their time and energy, and feel more in control of their lives again.

Start with my free guide, Mapping What Matters, and see exactly where your time and energy are going, and what needs to change.

You deserve to honor your own peace, and it can be done without fear of disappointing others or leaving things undone.

You're ready to start setting healthy boundaries so you can feel more balanced, but...

saying no feels uncomfortable and heavy with guilt

saying yes often happens out of habit or obligation

you think change isn’t possible without disappointing others

you worry you will fail to meet others' expectations

sometimes it feels like keeping people happy is your job

I get it, and I can help!

Hi, I'm Cynthia

Before I became a coach I was a full-time professor and a single mom. I’ve lived the overwhelm and the pressure of always being the dependable one. I understand the struggle of wanting to give in the moment, but later on feeling like my cup is empty because I poured it into everything but my own needs. It's not selfish to fill your own cup--it's necessary and important!

That's why on flights, in case of emergency, you are instructed to place your mask on first. If you don't protect yourself you can't continue to help others.

And boundaries don't need to be made only between home life and work life--they also need to exist in personal relationships outside of work.

I learned (and I'm still learning!) the importance of these protective barriers. I use that experience to help reliable, caring people just like you break the cycle of over-giving to the point of running on empty. Together, we create practical strategies for setting boundaries, choosing your yeses wisely, and protecting your time and energy—so you can finally feel in control, less stressed, and more balanced, without feeling like you’re letting anyone down.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

Sharron,
Senior Instructional Consultant

I wasn't entirely sure what I needed when I first signed up for coaching, but it became clear almost immediately that boundary setting was at the heart of everything. I had tried therapy before, but I kept being told I was already doing all the right things. Coaching turned out to be the missing piece. In just six sessions, my concerns were addressed beyond anything I could have asked for. I've found ways to set boundaries without abandoning my desire to help others. I just do it on my own terms, in my own time. That shift has given me something I didn't realize I was missing - respect for myself. What surprised me the most was discovering that I actually have the ability to say no, or not right now, and everyone survives it. I have had conversations I never would have had six months ago, pushed myself well outside my comfort zone, and come out the other side feeling genuinely good about it. The coaching experience itself felt like having an inner voice finally asking all the right questions. Cynthia has this remarkable ability to see straight to the root of my insecurities and help me understand why I was struggling in the first place. If you are a constant self-doubter or unsure of your abilities, coaching sessions with Cynthia are a powerful way to find the strength that has always been there. She gives you someone willing to push you toward the uncomfortable things.

Melissa,
Associate Professor

These sessions were able to fill the gap of what counseling hadn't been able to do in the last year or two. I've started thinking more about why I am doing some of what fills my schedule and using my values as a litmus test of sorts when deciding whether to add another commitment. Coaching with Cynthia helped me talk through issues or goals by asking great questions that prompted deep reflection.
